Donations help the Prairie Museum serve the community of Thomas County and the greater Northwest Kansas area as an educational organization, preserving the history and enhancing the quality of life on the high plains.

Any amount helps us achieve our goals

The Thomas County Historical Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit institution and operates on revenue generated primarily through admissions to the Prairie Museum of Art & History along with charitable donations.

Honor Walk Paver Project

The Prairie Museum is selling engraved granite pavers to be placed in the courtyard leading to the main museum entrance.

The granite pavers offer you the opportunity to honor a special person, your family, your school or business. Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the multi-year campaign to raise $500,000 for the maintenance and long-term preservation of the historical structures and collections, and educational programming at the Prairie Museum.

It is critical that we maintain our infrastructure so the Prairie Museum and its remarkable collections, programs, and exhibitions can endure for many generations to come.
